Juventus Reach Personal Agreement with Jadon Sancho

Mansion Sports - Juventus have moved one step closer in their pursuit of English winger Jadon Sancho after reaching a full personal agreement with the player.

The Italian giants must now finalize negotiations with Manchester United, who currently hold Sancho’s registration, to complete the transfer.

Sancho Remains a Burden on Manchester United's Wage Bill

Jadon Sancho has once again become a focal point of the summer transfer market. Following loan spells at Borussia Dortmund and most recently Chelsea, neither club opted to convert the winger’s stay into a permanent move—leaving his future in limbo once more.

Manchester United are keen to part ways with the 25-year-old on a permanent basis and have set an asking price of €25 million. However, Juventus have deemed that valuation too steep and are continuing their efforts to secure the player at a lower cost.

According to prominent Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà in his exclusive column for CaughtOffside, Juventus remain firmly on track to acquire Sancho despite the lack of an agreement with Manchester United at this stage.

Sancho Urges United to Lower Transfer Fee to Facilitate Juventus Move

Sancho has reportedly made a direct request to Manchester United, urging the club to reduce their asking price in order to facilitate his transfer to Juventus.

The Turin-based club has demonstrated a clear commitment to bolstering their attacking options on the wings, with Sancho listed among their top priorities.

“Juventus remain keen on Sancho regardless of the situation surrounding manager Sergio Conceicao,” Pedullà stated.

“The club has made its intention clear to sign two attacking wingers this summer. They feel confident, especially with Sancho’s unwavering support. His contract with United has less than a year remaining, and with surprises always possible in the market, Juventus are moving swiftly to avoid being outpaced by rivals.”

Pedullà also confirmed that Juventus have submitted a formal bid of £15 million (approximately €17 million), a figure still below United’s initial valuation of €25 million.

Despite the financial gap, the personal terms between Sancho and Juventus have already been finalized. The move now hinges on Manchester United’s willingness to greenlight the transfer.

“Negotiations are progressing well,” Pedullà added. “The offer on the table could prove sufficient. Sancho has reiterated his intention to wait for Juventus and has pushed the club to accelerate the deal. Manchester United are also adopting a more cooperative stance and seem willing to reach a resolution. Their initial valuation has already begun to soften.”

“However, the deal is not yet sealed, and caution remains necessary. Still, Juventus are clearly advancing their efforts to bring Sancho to Turin.”

A Potential Career Revival for Sancho in Italy

Though Sancho has struggled to meet expectations during his time at Manchester United, his performances during loan stints at Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea showed glimpses of his former potential.

While not enough to convince those clubs to retain him permanently, Sancho’s raw talent continues to attract interest from major European sides, including Juventus.

At 25 years old, Sancho still possesses significant potential to resurrect his career at the top level. Serie A has long been regarded as fertile ground for players who have fallen short in the Premier League to rediscover their best form.

Notable examples include Romelu Lukaku and Scott McTominay, both of whom experienced career resurgences after leaving English football for Italy.

Additionally, former Chelsea players such as Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have enjoyed a renaissance with AC Milan.

Juventus now hope that Sancho can follow a similar path and rediscover his peak form under the Bianconeri banner.
