Inter Milan Preparing Fresh Bid to Secure Ademola Lookman

Mansion Sports - Inter Milan are reportedly readying a renewed offer in their pursuit of Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman.

The Nigerian international currently carries a €50 million price tag and has become a highly sought-after target among Serie A clubs following a string of outstanding performances.

Ongoing Negotiations Between Inter and Atalanta

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan’s management is expected to resume discussions with Atalanta in the coming days.

The Milan-based club has already reached a personal agreement with Lookman, who recently earned the prestigious African Ballon d’Or—an accolade that highlights his remarkable progress and rising prominence in international football.

Previously, Inter submitted an offer structured as a loan deal with an obligation to purchase. However, Atalanta have made their position clear, insisting on a permanent transfer valued at €50 million as the only acceptable option for releasing the player.

Possible Agreement Could Be Reached at €45 Million

Renowned transfer journalist Alfredo Pedullà has reported that a deal could potentially be concluded for a total of €45 million, including performance-based bonuses. Despite this, Inter have yet to table an improved proposal that aligns with Atalanta’s valuation.

It is believed that Inter are now preparing a new and more competitive offer in hopes of securing the 27-year-old forward.

Lookman is considered a strong fit for Inter’s attacking setup, particularly following his exceptional form last season with Atalanta, which has significantly elevated his market value.

Napoli No Longer in the Race

Although Napoli had previously shown interest in acquiring Lookman, sources from Football Italia indicate that their most recent approach dates back to June.

Since then, there have been no further contacts between Napoli and Atalanta, suggesting that the Neapolitan club is no longer actively pursuing the player.

With Napoli seemingly out of the running, Inter have emerged as the frontrunners to land Lookman.

Their intent to reinforce the squad ahead of the new campaign appears increasingly decisive, and the addition of Lookman could be a pivotal move in bolstering their domestic and European ambitions.
