Mansion Sports - AC Milan has reportedly expressed strong interest in signing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic. According to a report by Gazzetta dello Sport, the club’s pursuit of the Serbian forward hinges on the fulfillment of two critical conditions, both of which must be met by Juventus and the player himself. 

This strategic move is said to include direct communication between Milan’s head coach, Massimiliano Allegri, and his former protégé, as highlighted by Football Italia.

Milan Demands Either a Minimal Transfer Fee or a Free Transfer

The first condition laid out by AC Milan is that Dusan Vlahovic must be available at a significantly reduced transfer fee—or ideally, for free. 

This stipulation is central to the club's recruitment considerations, particularly in light of Vlahovic's existing contract with Juventus, which is valid until June 2026.

Given the long-term nature of the agreement, Juventus retains a strong negotiating position in setting the transfer value. 

However, Milan is hoping for a degree of flexibility from the Turin-based club. The Rossoneri are pushing for favorable terms to ensure financial prudence while enhancing their attacking options.

Salary Reduction and Severance Payment Obligations

The second key condition relates to Vlahovic’s current salary structure. The forward is presently earning an annual salary of €12 million. 

AC Milan will only proceed with negotiations if Vlahovic agrees to a substantial salary reduction—reportedly by as much as 50 percent.

In concrete terms, this would require the Serbian striker to accept a new contract with a significantly lower wage package than his current remuneration. 

To facilitate such an agreement, it is likely that Juventus would need to offer Vlahovic a severance package to compensate for the remaining financial entitlements of his 2025–2026 season under the current deal.

Milan’s Strategic Approach to Strengthening Its Attack

AC Milan’s sporting director, Igli Tare, has previously confirmed the club’s intent to bring in a new central striker for the 2025–2026 season. 

The incoming forward is expected to compete for a starting role alongside Santiago Gimenez, who is already part of the squad.

This strategy forms part of Milan’s broader effort to reinforce its offensive lineup, ensuring that the team has sufficient depth and competition in crucial attacking positions.

Alternatives to Vlahovic: Boniface and Nicolas Jackson

Should the deal for Dusan Vlahovic fall through, AC Milan has identified several alternatives. One of the leading candidates is Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen, who is reportedly valued at around €40 million. 

His combination of youth, athleticism, and potential makes him a compelling option for Milan’s forward line.

Another name under consideration is Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea. However, Jackson is expected to command a higher transfer fee than Boniface, which may prompt Milan to re-evaluate the financial feasibility of such a move. 

The club is carefully weighing its options to maintain a balanced approach between competitive ambition and fiscal responsibility.
